Julia’s is a cozy gem in the Ridgewood section of Queens that serves elevated comfort food and cocktails with a twist. Diners enjoy an assortment of creative, reasonably-priced menu items that utilize locally-sourced ingredients, as well as a homey atmosphere where even the artwork on the walls support the community.

The restaurant opened in 2015, and is the second venture for owners Crystal River Williams and Denise Plowman, who have been tempting the palates of New Yorkers since 2012 at their sister cafe, Norma’s Corner Shoppe. Geneva joined them and the trio have combined their years of unique experience to create a welcoming and comfortable atmosphere at Julia's.

Crystal River Williams is a graduate of the French Culinary Institute, and lends her unique understanding of flavor combinations to the menu. Recipe creation is her passion. Crystal is also a winner of The Food Network's "Chopped".

Geneva Williams is a singer and musician with many years of experience in the restaurant industry. The lush environment in Julia's is due to her abundance of creative energy and green thumb. She is also responsible for the booking of live music, and the art from local artists that graces the walls.

Denise Plowman is also a culinary school graduate with many years of experience, and a former Marine. The restaurant is named after her mother Julia, and many of the menu items are inspired by the flavors that were created in her mother's kitchen.
